- Can I file both electronic and paper returns in ProLine Tax Online Edition (beta)?
- Yes. Currently, Federal and California returns can be paper and electronically filed. Arizona is currently only available for paper filing.
- Can I actually file a real return with the ProLine Tax Online Edition (beta)?
- Yes. You can file a TY08 Federal, California and Arizona returns for Free with this version of ProLine Tax Online.
- Is my personal information and client's data safe?
- Intuit does not share your user name and password with anyone.
ProLine Tax Online Edition (beta) uses the same technology used by online banks and brokerages to transmit your private data over the Internet. Additionally, electronic filing services are provided through the same system used to submit millions of consumer and professionally filed tax returns every year.
- Intuit does not share your user name and password with anyone.
- Where will my data be stored with ProLine Tax Online Edition (beta)?
- The data will be stored on secure Intuit servers so you have access to it at anytime from anywhere. It's stored on firewall protected, redundant servers so your data is safe from hardware and software failures, hackers and viruses.
- What states and forms are included in the ProLine Tax Online Edition (beta)?
- During our beta period we are featuring Federal, California and Arizona; however we will be incorporating more states in our fall release.
- Can I convert data into ProLine Tax Online Edition (beta)?
- We are currently working on conversion options for several tax products. For our fall release, we plan to have data conversion service available for ATX, TaxWise, and TurboTax.
- How much does ProLine Tax Online Edition (beta) cost?
- Our new application is 100% FREE during this beta period.
- Who can sign up for the ProLine Tax Online Edition FREE beta?
- Our beta version is available to everyone. Simply register for a free account.
- Is ProLine Tax Online Edition (beta) right for me?

- How long will I have access to the returns I prepare in ProLine Tax Online Edition (beta)?
- You will receive a 30 day notification regarding the end of the beta period, giving you ample time to download the PDF files for the tax returns filed through the system.
- What are the system requirements and recommendations for ProLine Tax Online Edition (beta)?
- We recommend a high-speed Internet connection, such as DSL or cable modem. You are welcome to try a slower connection, but it will take you a bit longer to get things done. ProLine Tax Online Edition (beta) is compatible with the following browsers: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome. We also recommend Adobe Flash 8.0 or higher.
- Can my clients or partners access returns in ProLine Tax Online Edition (beta)?
- This version is a single user version. Multiple preparers and client access are not yet supported.
- Will I need an EFIN in order to use ProLine Tax Online Edition (beta)?
- Yes. If you choose to file electronically, you will need an EFIN.
