What is the QuickBooks Affiliate Program?
The QuickBooks Affiliate Program helps enable you to make money simply by referring customers to our Web site or Affiliate Storefront. If you have a website you do this by placing links and marketing copy on your site. Every time you refer a customer to us through your site and that customer makes a purchase directly from us, you can earn a commission. If you don't have a website, you email customers our exclusive Affiliate Storefront and earn commissions on purchases made through our email offer.
How do I sign up?
Complete our online application form and accept our QuickBooks Affiliate Agreement. After your application is submitted, we will contact you via email to let you know if you've been accepted as a QuickBooks Affiliate, and we will provide you with information on how to get started.
Does my Web site make me eligible to become a QuickBooks Affiliate?
You can apply to the program, as long as you have an active Web site and an interest in assisting small businesses. We especially encourage individuals and organizations such as accountants, small business associations, and small business service providers to apply to become QuickBooks Affiliates. While we accept applications from all interested parties, please note that we are not able to accept all applicants at this time. If you are not initially selected as a QuickBooks Affiliate, we encourage you to apply again at a later date.
What does it cost to become a QuickBooks Affiliate?
It's absolutely free to join our QuickBooks Affiliate Program. There is no charge to apply and there is no minimum sales requirement.
Can a Web site outside the United States be a QuickBooks Affiliate?
At the present moment, we are only accepting Affiliates located within the U.S. We hope to be able to open the program to international applicants in the near future.
Can I still be a QuickBooks Affiliate if I operate more than one Web site?
Yes. You can have multiple sites as a QuickBooks Affiliate. You can have one Affiliate account with us that will include all of your sites. You can track the progress of each of your sites separately and be paid with one commission check.
What are my responsibilities as a QuickBooks Affiliate?
The only thing you are responsible for is placing authorized logos from our online Affiliate Toolkit on your site (in accordance to the guidelines). We handle everything else.
What are QuickBooks' responsibilities?
We will provide you with the tools and support to help you maximize sales through your site or Affiliate Storefront. We also handle orders, shipping, and billing for all customers you refer to us.
I don't have a Web site. Can I still apply?
Yes, we now offer our exclusive Affiliate Storefront to accountants and members of the Pro Advisor program who don't have a website. You do this by emailing our storefront to customers. Every time your customer makes a purchase through this email offer, a commission payment will be credited to your account. Click here to view a sample of our Storefront.
How do I change my account information?
Once you have been accepted as a QuickBooks Affiliate, you will be given access to our online Affiliate Toolkit. You'll be able to use this site to update your account information, view how your site is performing, and select QuickBooks banners and marketing copy for use on your site.
How do I create links?
Creating links is easy. Simply go to our Affiliate Toolkit and follow the step-by-step instructions. Our Toolkit has an automatic tag generator that will create HTML for you to cut and paste into your Web site. It is so easy to use even beginners can create links in seconds.
Where should I place the links on my site?
You should place links where they are easy for your site visitors to find, such as your home page. Some areas you may want to place your links include your home page, your navigation bar, and any other traffic areas. If you place the links in an easily accessible location on your site, your visitors will be more likely to make a purchase.
Can I use your content on my site?
You may use the logos and content we license to you. However, you may not use logos or content that have not been specifically licensed to you. You can ensure that you are using authorized logos or content by only using material available in our Affiliate Toolkit. If you use unauthorized logos or content, we will not be able to track your earnings and pay you the commission you deserve.
Who can I contact if I have problems setting up my links?
Email us at affiliateteam@quickbooks.com if you are having difficulty getting your QuickBooks Affiliate links into your Web site.
How do I know how much commission I've earned?
If you are accepted as a QuickBooks Affiliate, you will earn up to 10% commission on each client purchase. You will earn flat rate $20 commission payments for each paying subscription of QuickBooks Online Edition. Through the online Affiliate Toolkit, you can access reports that provide information on impressions, clickthroughs, orders and commissions earned.
How often do I get paid?
We will send you a commission check every month, provided you earned more than $50 in commissions. The QuickBooks Affiliate Program reserves the right to withhold payment until such time as such affiliate's aggregate commissions exceed $50 USD.
Do I earn commissions on my own purchases?
Yes. When you buy products from us through your Web site or Affiliate StoreFront, you earn the same commission on your purchase that you would from a visitor purchase.
How can I monitor my sales?
You can monitor your sales by accessing reports as often as you like by accessing your customized online Affiliate Toolkit site.
Who processes orders and handles customer service?
We do all of that for the customers that you refer to our site.
How will you know that the orders came from my site or Affiliate StoreFront?
All links from your site or Affiliate StoreFront to our site contain a unique identifier so that every time a user comes to us via your site or StoreFront, we know to credit you when a purchase is made. This is only possible, though, when you create all of your links with the approved logos we provide in our Affiliate Toolkit.
How often can I run reports?
You can run reports daily if you wish. Your customized Affiliate Toolkit site is updated daily with the latest information about your site.
I operate more than one Web site. Can you track them separately but pay me with one commission check?
Yes. You can have multiple sites under one QuickBooks Affiliate account. You can create links and generate reports specifically for each site, but you will receive one commission check for all of your sites. To set up an account with multiple sites, please contact us at affiliateteam@quickbooks.com with the names and URLs of the additional sites.
