Equipment

If you receive paper check payments and want to take advantage of scanning checks with Intuit Check Solution for QuickBooks, you'll need a scanner. We've worked closely with scanner vendors to offer you some of the best check scanning equipment on the market, fully compliant with the digital imaging requirements of the Check 21 Act. Additionally, Check Solution for QuickBooks now works with most flat bed and sheet fed scanners that are TWAIN compliant. This means you can use the scanner you already own!

Also remember that our solutions allow you to accept checks over the phone or with written authorization, without a scanner (for smaller batches or one-off processing). Just key in the account and routing numbers and account type and you send it for processing. Easy.

Requires QuickBooks Financial Software 2010 (Simple Start (supports key entered only), Simple Start Free (supports key entered only), Pro or Premier for the PC) or higher, or QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 10.0 (each sold separately) and a merchant account through Intuit Payment Solutions. Simple Start only works with key entered check feature. QuickBooks 2009 or earlier customers can process only key entered checks using an Internet browser (Internet Explorer 6.0 or greater, Firefox 2.0 or greater, Safari 3.0 or greater). Processing within QuickBooks or the use of a scanner to process paper checks requires QuickBooks 2010. Application approval, an Internet connection on a Windows PC and Internet Explorer 6.0, 7.0 or 8.0 required. Supports all flavors of Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.   4. Intuit's risk management team actively monitors check writer activity against the National Check Network and other databases to manage the risk exposure to potentially harmful items such as fraudulent checks, insufficient funds, returns, etc. on behalf of the merchants.
  5. Qualified Rate will be charged on all qualified Visa/MasterCard/Discover® Network transactions that are electronically authorized. Manually keyed Visa/MasterCard/Discover Network transactions that have Address Verification System (AVS) will be charged a Mid-Qualified Rate. All Visa/MasterCard/Discover Network transactions that do not meet the requirements stated above, business cards, foreign cards and transactions that do not meet Visa/MasterCard/Discover Network requirements for the best interchange program will be charged a Non-Qualified Rate.
