QuickBooks Online Accountant is a web-based accounting software application which allows you to work anytime, anywhere with an Internet-enabled computer. Here are the details of what you'll need to be able to run QuickBooks Online Accountant on your computer:

Software Requirements:
You or your client must have a subscription to QuickBooks Online in order to create or work on a company file. QuickBooks Online Accountant provides accounting tools which you can apply to your clients' QuickBooks Online files.

Network Connection:
We recommend a high-speed Internet connection, such as DSL or cable modem. You can use a slower connection, but it will take longer to get things done.

  1. What is the Pilot program and how long does it last?

    The Pilot program is the final stage prior to launching a product commercially which gives Intuit the opportunity to learn from a broad base of customers about their experience using QuickBooks Online Accountant in preparation for a commercially ready product.

  2. What happens when the Pilot program ends?

    At the end of Pilot, you will be automatically moved to a free trial. The trial period will begin the first time you log in after the Pilot ends. At the end of your trial period, you will have the option to subscribe to QuickBooks Online Accountant. If you choose not to subscribe, your access will revert to your experience prior to you joining the Pilot program or trial. You will NOT be required to provide credit card information until you choose to purchase.

  3. How much will it cost?

    Pricing will be published when we launch QuickBooks Online Accountant after the Pilot program ends.

  4. Do my clients have to have their own QuickBooks Online subscription when I use QuickBooks Online Accountant?

    Yes. QuickBooks Online Accountant will enable you to use time-saving features specifically developed for accounting professionals on your clients' QuickBooks Online company files. QuickBooks Online Accountant does not come with a company file.

  5. When will QuickBooks Online Accountant be available?

    QuickBooks Online Accountant will be launched after the Pilot period ends.

  6. Who can I contact if I have questions about QuickBooks Online Accountant?

  7. Is QuickBooks Online Accountant included in the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program?

    This will be announced at the time QuickBooks Online Accountant is launched.
