Q: How much do QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification courses cost?
A: All ProAdvisor Certification courses are included with your QuickBooks ProAdvisor membership at no additional cost.
Q: How do I access the certification courses?
A: Log in to the Members-Only site at qbproadvisor.com to access your own Course Locker.
Q: How many CPE credits do I receive with the certification courses and how do I know if my state accepts the CPE credits?
A: You are eligible to receive up to 16 CPE credits when you successfully complete the CPE version of the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification courses for the first time.
PLEASE NOTE: Some states do not allow CPE credits when taking the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification courses. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. It is the responsibility of the individual earning the CPE credits to investigate what his/her own state board of accountancy recognizes with respect to any CPE course.
Q: How long does the certification process take?
A: Depending on your current level of familiarity with QuickBooks, your comfort with exams, and whether you need CPE, the Certification process can be typically completed in 4 - 20 hours at your pace and schedule.
Many members report that the Optional Certification Course takes about 16 hours to work thru (no more than 1-2 hours a day for 2 weeks). The Certification Exam itself can be completed in just a few hours.
Q: How can I find the answers to the certification exams?
A: The exam will identify any missed questions after it has been submitted, however the answers are not given for missed questions. You are encouraged to review the appropriate content in the course for any questions you may have missed, then re-take the exam.
Q: As a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, is it mandatory to take the certification courses and exams that are included with my membership?
A: No. It is purely voluntary; however, we highly encourage you to become certified to ensure you are knowledgeable in the software, and can take advantage of the many benefits of being a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
Q: How long do I have to complete the certification courses?
A: You can complete the Certification courses at any time during your membership. Courses are discontinued periodically, so not all courses are available at all times.
Q: How am I allowed to use the Certified ProAdvisor Logo?
A: Logo usage requirements are outlined in the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Membership Guide that you receive when you join the program. Or you can access the Member Guide on the ProAdvisor Members Only website at www.qbproadvisor.com
